Launching the campaign „Buds of hope”

Any end of winter also means a start of the long-awaited spring. In this seasonal nature revitalization, “Filocalia” aims to launch on February 20th the charity campaign “Buds of hope”.


Spring in colors!

On February 8, Filocalia helped by 2 volunteers went to the boarding school from Carpineni, where each child with two hands and a heart created ingenious greeting cards for grandparents, friends and their teachers.


Spring is coming!

Time passes quickly, we have recently admired new year’s fireworks and now we are already in February and we are looking forward for  the spring.

Theatre plays and winter shows for the little ones

Winter holidays are not just gifts from Santa’s bag, but also food for the soul. Thus, on the 11th of December, 60 children from Drăguşeni, Rădeni and Zamciogi villages, Straşeni region, visited “Luceafărul” Theater from the capital, at the show “Puss in boots”.


Winter holidays at Goian Penitentiary for minors

On December 26, AO Filocalia managed to visit the minors at ”Goian” Penitentiary. The boys have received boxes of chocolates, exotic fruits and stockings.


From north to east with gifts for more children and elderly

Through cold, rain and snow, on Dec. 13, Filocalia team visited 27 children from 12 socially vulnerable families from Cosnita village, Dubasari district. Packages with food and hygiene products, clothes and toys, fruits and sweets have been gathered from the donations of many great people, who wanted to be part of our charity campaign.


Two emotional days in Carpineni village, Lapusna region

Because Filocalia has many active volunteers, we managed to go to two destinations in one day! Thus, on 14 December we have spent a day full of activities with children from the boarding school in Carpineni village.


The first charity snowflakes

On November 23, the Charity Campaign “Be a Santa for someone!” was launched. On Saturday, November 24th, we visited the first beneficiaries in the village of Draguseni, Straseni region. This was possible thanks to the financial aid granted in advance by our fellow citizens from the diaspora – the parish of St. Nicholas in the city of Cascais, Portugal. Great thanks to Father Petru Pruteanu for active involvement. From this donation we were able to bring joy to 10 elderly people and 42 children from 12 needy families.

The wonderful winter holidays are close and we urge you again to be close to those who need us the most!
Christmas is the time of joy and presents, the time of magic and dreams coming true, of childhood and hopes. This is the holiday of the open heart: we must knock at socially vulnerable people’s doors and help them feel the spirit of the holiday.
