At 12 July 2014 our team visited Speia village, Grigoreopol region, to see how the children from the 3 creative workshops established by AO Filocalia at the local school are doing. The workshops were created in March and April this year thanks to the project „Trust through education”, implemented in partnership with AO “Надежда и будущее” and with the assistance of the Program EU-UNDP “Support to Confidence Building Measures” with the main goal of promoting trust through education among children and young people from both banks of Nistru River.

On the day of our visit, we saw the girls tailoring and the boys working in the carpentry workshop. We enjoyed their first creations – wonderful girls clothing. The girls were happy to have all the necessary modern tools for implementing any idea into creative outfits. Since the workshop was opened they have used any piece of fabric and transformed it into a new clothing or accessory.

The same situation could be observed with the boys from the carpentry workshop. They worked diligently to shape pieces of wood. You could already see progress in their work and in the way they handled  the instruments.

On the 1st of September, when the school opens its doors again for its students, the children want to organize an exhibition to show to their peers and parents all the works they will have created.
